COPE defends the rights and needs of children when a parent goes to prison.
It’s an international network connecting 140 members and affiliates across 40 countries in Europe and beyond.
Lia Sacerdote (Bambinisenzasbarre’s Presidente) heard a child saying to his father: “when you come back home, we will play football together”.
So she thought “why wait until then? Let’s do it now, in prison!”
That is how Game with Mum & Dad” was born in San Vittore Prison (Milan, Italy) on the 1st of December 2015.
