  • The International Coalition for Children With Incarcerated Parents (INCCIP) published the World Total Global Statistics about Children with Imprisoned Parents  in 9 Region (Africa, Asia, Caribbean, Europe, Middle East, North, Central and South America, Oceania.

  • The World Total Global Statistics make an estimate of the world prison population, which is around 11 million people.

  • This means around 22,5 million children all over the world have one or both parents in prison.

  • In Europe, the figures show that the total imprisoned population is 1.496.000, which means that children with an imprisoned parent are approximately 2,7 million.
